Privacy Notice – Arclify (Waitlist & Season 1 Application)
This page explains how I handle your personal data when you join the Arclify waitlist or apply for Season 1.
1. Who is responsible for your data?
The data controller is:
- Name: Juhász Patrik (solo developer)
- Location: Hungary (EU)
- Email: patrik.juhasz.business@gmail.com
You can contact me at this email for any privacy-related questions.
2. What data I collect
When you submit the form, I may collect:
- Your email address
- Your name
- Your answers to the Season 1 application questions (for example habits, goals, experience with similar apps)
I do not intentionally collect special categories of data (such as health, religion, political opinions, etc.). Please do not include these in your answers.
3. Why I collect your data and on what legal basis
I only use your data for the following purposes:
Managing the waitlist and Season 1 applications
Example: deciding who is a good fit for early seasons, keeping track of who applied.
Legal basis: your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)).
Communicating with you by email
Example: emailing you about Season 1, onboarding information, app launch updates, and related Arclify news or experiments.
Legal basis: your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)).
You can withdraw your consent at any time (see section “Your rights”).
4. Who can access your data (recipients)
I don’t sell or rent your data.
I may use trusted third-party service providers (“processors”) to store or manage your data, for example:
- Email service provider (for sending emails to the waitlist)
- Form or database provider (for storing your answers safely)
These providers only process your data on my instructions and are bound by data protection agreements.
Some of these providers may be located outside the EU/EEA (for example, in the United States). In that case, I rely on appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses or equivalent mechanisms required by the GDPR.
5. How long I keep your data
I keep your data:
- For as long as the waitlist and early seasons are active, and
- For up to 2 years after the last meaningful interaction (for example last email open or click),
or until you withdraw your consent or ask me to delete your data – whichever happens first.
If you withdraw consent or request deletion, I will delete your data (unless I must keep some data longer to comply with a legal obligation).
6. Is providing your data mandatory?
Providing your email is voluntary, but:
- If you don’t provide an email address, I cannot add you to the waitlist or contact you about Season 1.
- Providing your name and detailed answers is optional but helps me decide if you’re a good fit for early seasons.
7. Your rights under GDPR
If you are in the EU/EEA, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Right of access – to know whether I process your data and to receive a copy.
- Right to rectification – to correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
- Right to erasure (“right to be forgotten”) – to ask me to delete your data in certain cases.
- Right to restriction of processing – to ask me to limit how I use your data in certain situations.
- Right to data portability – to receive your data in a structured, commonly used format and have it transmitted to another controller, where technically possible.
- Right to withdraw consent – at any time, without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.
- Right to object – you can object to receiving emails at any time.
To exercise any of these rights, email me at patrik.juhasz.business@gmail.com.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Hungarian National Authority for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (NAIH) or your local data protection authority in the EU, if you believe your data is being processed unlawfully.
8. How I protect your data
I use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, such as:
- Using reputable service providers with appropriate security
- Limiting access to your data (only me, as the solo developer)
- Protecting devices and accounts with strong authentication
No online service is 100% secure, but I aim to minimise unnecessary risks.
9. Updates to this notice
I may update this notice as Arclify evolves (for example, when the app is launched or new features are added). When I update it, I will change the “Last updated” date below. If there are major changes, I may also inform you by email.
